Health issues, learning difficulties, or social/psycological events can easily pre-occupy the minds of our children and create changes in behaviour.  If a child learns to embrace everyday positively, it will be easier to recognize these changes, act and improve the situation.

Demonstrating for the children in our lives, the ability to see the positive potential in each day (even Mondays) and teaching them they have a choice in how they view and react to things, will better equip them to deal with the day to day - every day.

Children's letters are like bridges of friendship, connecting hearts with colorful drawings and friendly words.  Each letter send is a spark of kindness that travels to others and spreads joy.  And in a world of screens, letters offer a personal touch, boosting communication skills and teaching patience.

Through these special messages, children learn that even though they may be far apart, their words can bring smiles and warmth to someone else's day.

Letter writing is more than just words; it's a heartwarming act of connection and creativity... for children and adults.

In Jazz with Nonna, little hearts discover big ideas, how music helps us listen and connect, and how volunteering can turn caring into action.  Inspired by the Halifax Jazz Festival, a celebration that brings our city together, the story invites children to see how arts and culture create space for everyone.

Behind every unforgettable note is a community of helping hands.  As Nonna and her grandson begin his first Halifax Jazz Festival volunteer shift, he learns how volunteers bring the Festival to life and how small acts of service can make a city feel welcoming, connected and bright.
